Bring your family to celebrate the human spirit with drum and dance during the unique experience known as the Paralounge Drum Gathering. All ages will enjoy the many drum circle activities that promote family interaction, musical creativity, multi-cultural understanding and self empowerment.
Each Paralounge Drum Gathering invites very talented musicians and instructors to teach and interact with the community.
Traditional music and dance keeps our current generation in touch with our ancestral knowledge.
Traditional music and dance in modern expression promotes the evolution of ancestral knowledge into the present. *non-traditional drum and dance would be the free style drum circle techniques and “tribal” belly dance, as an example.

Tam Tam Congo is a Paralounge favorite! The “Big Drums” of Africa come out to play hard when Tam Tam Congo bring the N’Goma drums of the Congo. You will be amazed at the incredible energy Tam Tam Congo delivers! These musicians bring traditional rhythms from Congo Africa. This powerful ensemble boast the strengh of Master Thobos Lubamba and Kasa Panzu, masters of drum and dance techniques of Congo Africa.
World Collision lives up to its name. Five incredibly talented musicians instill the passion of olde world rhythms with new world creativity to express music that speaks through the ancient future. You will enjoy the world percussion you are craving and get up and dance to the “indigenous edge”!
Tampa Taiko is dedicated to delivering the “BIG DRUMS” of Japan! When the thunder is heard rolling through Tampa Bay, it may not be the impending doom of a Gulf coast hurricane. It could be the Taiko Hulks of Florida, Ron Collins and Julius Mendoza. This super talented duo of Taiko Drums always gets a standing ovation! Their timing, rhythm and their incredible stamina earn all the respect.
Iyabakoso is an Afro-Caribbean music ensemble that will take you on a journey through the music of theCaribbeanislands. You will enjoy music fromCuba,Puerto Rica,Haitiand theDominican Republic. You can expect a high energy show with rhythms that include the Cuban Rumba, Guaguanco, the Puerto Rican Bomba and Plena and the Afro-Dominican Palo and Salve. Born inSan Juan, Puerto Rico Manny Lopez is the director for this exciting ensemble of 3 female dancers and 6 percussionists based fromClearwater,Florida.
Paralounge is proud to present the Brevard Busking Coolition from Melbourne Florida! This group performs blending world percussion with an eclectic blend of styles. The Brevard Busking Coolition is a fun group of musicians that are sure to get you shaking, dancing and grinning!
Jana Broder is a Paralounge favorite! Drum Magic provides an amazing drum circle experience for all ages. Jana Broder combines her rich personality with rhythm and song to create an empowering experience for everyone. Jana Broder’s reputation is known worldwide as an amazing Drum Circle Facilitator. Drum Magic is a groundbreaking Drum Circle Facilitation business that provides schools, senior centers, community events and corporations with an experience that overcomes bounderies and creates musical bridges between the participants.

Greywolf has been teaching hand drumming and facilitating drum circles since 1992. Greywolf has studied many traditional styles fo drumming from all over the world. Greywolf’s studies never end and include an impressive list of Master Drummers from around the world. Greywolf has studied West African rhythms with Famadou Konate and Mamaday Keta, Middle Eastern Rhythms with Karim Nagi, Raquy and Quentin Shaw and Congo rhythms with Thobos Lubamba and Teber Milandou Sita. Greywolf has completed the Remo Health Rhythms Facilitator Training and is a Rhythmic Entertainment Intervention Authorized Therapy Provider.

Kassa Rhythms with Dununba accompaniment: Greywolf will present the basics of hand technique and the fundamental parts appropriate for beginners and the advanced Solo phrases for advanced players. The workshop includes a hand out with extensive information about the rhythm Kassa, including the ethnographic information, sources for materiel presented with all the rhythms covered in an easy to follow BeatBox Notation.
How to play the Native American Style Flute: Ray Wood will present the easy to learn techniques used to create beautiful melodies with the Native American Style Flute.

Drum Circle Facilitators Meeting: Jana Broder will share her experiences as a Drum Circle Facilitator in the job market. Learn critical information needed to successfully create a Drum Circle Facilitation business. (This is not Facilitation training!)
